John Lemein
Of Arlington Heights

John Lemein was born on April 28, 1923 in Chicago to Harry and Gertrude (nee Freerks) Lemein. He died Friday, December 6, 2013 in Arlington Heights.

John served in the Army during WWII, and worked for Western Electric for over 40 years until his retirement.  He enjoyed traveling, sailing, and playing pool, and loved spending time with his family.
 
John is survived by his children, Janis (Robert) Goetz, Gregg (Carolyn) Lemein, Trudy (Wally) Foote, and Sharon (Steve) Lear; his grandchildren, Nancy, John, Robert, Doug, Jonathan, Donovan, Kim, Bryan, and Eric; his great grandchildren, John Curtis, Caroline, Lily, Miles, Andrew, and soon-to-be Baby Girl Stegge.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys (nee Thompson) Lemein; his brother, George; and his parents.
 
Visitation from 5 pm until 8 pm, Monday, December 9, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Hts. Rd., Arlington Heights, and from 10 am until time of funeral service at 11 am, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Hts. Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.  Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
