Allison Ann Wayne, 40, passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 3, 2013.  Allison was a person of special needs who loved life and her fellow human beings. She especially loved her family and always was included in all family activities.

She lived in a house in Palatine with six other girls which is sponsored by St. Coletta and the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi.  She worked at Countryside Center in Palatine and loved spending time with the REACH program at St. Theresa in Palatine.  Allison was involved in many sports and programs with Northwest Special Recreation Association.  In, recent years, her favorite activity was horseback riding.  She loved sports and was an annual participant in Special Olympics.

Allison is survived by her father, Robert; brother Jeff, sister-in-law Christine; niece Casey; nephew Vince; and uncles Daniel and Edward.  

She was proceeded into death by her mother, Arlene; her grandparents, Stella and Cas and Henrietta and Edward.

Visitation Sunday, December 8, 2013  from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL  60004.  Prayers 8:45 am Monday, December 9, 2013  at the funeral home proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 South Mitchell, Arlington Heights, IL  60005 for a 9:30 am Funeral Mass.  Interment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Coletta of Wisconsin, N 4637 County Road Y, Jefferson, Wisconsin  53549-9720.
