Henry N. Rogers
Of Arlington Heights

Henry N. Rogers was born May 17, 1918 in Albany, New York to Henry C. and Katherine (nee O’Neill) Rogers.  He died Thanksgiving evening, Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights.

He served in the Army during WW II (1941 – 1945).  He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1940 with a BS in Commerce and graduated from Cornell University with a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations.  He worked for over 30 years in a variety of position in multiple locations for the Continental Can Company in Human Resources and Labor Relations.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Arlington Heights, and he was active in St. Edna’s Parish.

Henry is survived by his children Mary Katherine (Roger Deatherage) Rogers, Henry C. Rogers, Ann R. (William) Bransley, and Thomas F. (Gwendolyn Bennett) Rogers.  He was blessed with six grandchildren, Emily and Michael Deatherage, Henry E. and Orquidea Rogers, and Alyssa and Colleen Bransley.   

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen A. (nee Cashman) Rogers whom he married October 6, 1951, by his parents; and his sister Elizabeth Lang.

Visitation Friday, December 6, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Saturday, December 7, 2013 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 AM until Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, at St. Edna Church.  Interment is at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
