Warren T. Hansen
Of Arlington Heights

Warren T. Hansen  was born on October 29, 1920 in Chicago to Adolph and Anna (nee Warnecke) Hansen. He died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at The Moorings in Arlington Heights.
 
Warren attended Lane Technical High School in Chicago.  He studied engineering in the evenings at what is now the Illinois Institute of Technology. Early in his life he taught televised classes at WTTW in Chicago. He owned and operated Electrosize, a tool and die company, in Palatine, IL. Warren was also an early developer of high capacity EDM technology. He served in the United States Army during  World War II. Warren was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights where he served as trustee, business manager and ruling elder. In 1942 when turning 21, Warren was honored to become the youngest person to ever be ordained as a ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church USA. He was honored to be a commissioner to the Presbytery of Chicago, a commitment that lasted more than sixty years.  Warren was a member and past master of King Oscar  Masonic Lodge #855 and a lifetime member of the Scottish Rite.. He enjoyed wood working and stained glass.  Warren loved to spend time with his family, and was loved by all.
 
Warren is survived by his children Thomas W. (Carol) Hansen and Corinne L. (Barrett) Peterson; Grandchildren, Erik (Courtney Bledsoe) Peterson, Michael (Rachel) Hansen, Brian Peterson, Robert Hansen, Kari (Brandon) VanEck, and David Hansen; great-grandchildren, Logan Peterson, Taylor Peterson, William Warren Peterson,  and Reece Hansen; Siblings, Lenard Hansen, Norma Ross, and Olive Nikolich; uncle to many nieces and nephews and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by spouse, Lois C. Hansen; his parents; siblings Jerome Hansen and Adelle Jubert.
 
Visitation  from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, Illinois  60004.  In State 9:30 am Thursday, December 5, 2013 at  First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, 302 N. Dunton , Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004, until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:00 am.  Interment at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, 302 N. Dunton, Arlington heights, IL 60004 .
