Dennis R. Wagner
Of Arlington Heights
Dennis R. Wagner was born on May 12, 1940 in Evanston to John and Evelyn
(nee Swanson) Wagner. He passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 in
Arlington Heights.
He was self-employed and owned a family business with his son, Dennis,
Jr. His family was his life, especially his three granddaughters. He
enjoyed baseball having played professionally as a young adult.
Dennis is survived by his spouse of 42 years, Sylvia (nee Hevia) Wagner;
his children, Carmen (Scott) Hoffman, and Dennis (Alexis) Wagner, Jr.;
his granddaughters, LaurenRose Hoffman, Morgan Hoffman, and Brooke
Hoffman; and his brothers, John (Joyce) Wagner, Richard Wagner, and
Kenneth (Tina) Wagner.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Janice Edfors,
Thomas Wagner, and Leon Wagner.
Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at
Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington
Heights. Prayers will be said at 10:15 AM, Thursday, December 29, 2011,
followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic
Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights. Entombment will take place
at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations for several
of Dennis's favorite charities.
