Robert M. Baratta
of Arlington Heights

Robert M. Baratta was born on January 10, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Philip and Carmella (nee Cundari) Baratta. He died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Arlington Heights.

Robert worked for UOP LLC from 1957 until his retirement as Chief Executive Officer in 1984. Mr. Baratta later served in various executive positions at Katy Industries, Inc., including President and Chief Executive Officer, from 1987 to 2001 and continued to serve on the Board of Directors.

Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue (Clemsic); his children, Andrea (David) Hannan, Alessandra (Mark) Steinke and Robert (Jennifer) Baratta, Jr.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and his sister, Jil Ruggio.

He was preceded in death by parents and his brother, Philip C. Baratta, Jr.

Visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of prayers at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 23, 2011 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Northwest Community Healthcare Foundation, 800 W. Central, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 or to the Salvation Army, 250 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
