Edward William Herbst
longtime resident of Arlington Heights
Edward William Herbst was born on January 23, 1920 in Thiensville, WI to
Edwin and Emma (nee Riemenschneider). He died Saturday, December 17,
2011 in Arlington Heights.
Ed Herbst was the owner of Ed Herbst Company. He was a long-time member
of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights, and a member of the
American Legion in Mequon, Wisconsin. Ed loved to work at his business
and loved to be with people. His family meant everything to him in every
aspect of life.
Edward is survived by his children, Kathleen M. Herbst, Thomas E.
(Susan) Herbst, Janice L. Herbst, Linda K. Herbst; Grandson, Robin
(Jessica) Schnake; Great-Grandchildren, Kylan Schnake, Alaina A. Schnake,
and Talia R. Schnake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and the love of his life,
Audrey, of 60 years, whom he married February 7, 1948, his brother
Raymond Herbst, and his sister, Gretchen Herbst.
Visitation from 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at St. Peter
Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004
until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be
private in Mequon, WI.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church,

McHenry Road, Wheeling, Illinois 60090.
