Margaret E. “Peggy” Taffe was born on June 24, 1948 in Waterloo, IA to James M. and Margaret (nee Potter) Reidy. She passed away on December 24, 2010 in Arlington Heights.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Michael whom she married on April 19, 1969; her children, Peggy (John) Porcelli, Carrie (Bob) Donovan, Jenny (John) Doran, Erin (Steve) Sencion and Michael (Colleen) Taffe; her grandchildren, Jack, Michaela, Margaux, Ryan, Mairead, Norah, Kate, Patrick, Jameson, John, Sean and Ronan; her mother, Margaret Reidy; her siblings, Jim (Barb) Reidy, Cathy (Bill) Ragen, Mike (Cheryl) Reidy, Bob (Chris) Reidy, Terry (Cherie) Reidy, Sarah (Gene) Oberst, Patrick (Karen) Reidy and Mary (Jim) Lynch; her brothers-in-law, Ted (Donna) Taffe and Bill (Robin) Taffe; and her sister-in-law, Paula Taffe.

She was preceded in death by her father, James M. Reidy and her brother-in-law, Charlie (the late Sandy) Taffe.

Visitation from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 11:15 AM Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 12:00 PM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, 6300 N. Ridge Avenue, Chicago, IL 60660.
