Florence Szafraniec

Florence Szafraniec was born on January 24,1919 to Jacob and Victoria (nee Wojtowicz) Twardzik in Chicago. She passed away on December 23, 2010 at her home in Arlington Heights.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Christine) Szafraniec of Glenview and John “Jack” (Adeline) Szafraniec of Mt. Prospect; her grandchildren, Robert Jr. (Barbara), Christopher (Patricia), Victoria (David) Puchi, Scott (Loretta), Jaclin, John Jr. and Jane Szafraniec; her great grandchildren, Mia Rose, Thomas Jan, Madison Rose, Scott Jacob Jr., Daniel Chester and Nicole Christine and step-great grandchildren, Julia, Anna and Crista Puchi; and her sister, Eleanor (Edwin) Brezezinski of Crestwood, Missouri.

Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Szafraniec.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, December 26, 2010 the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights and Monday, December 27, 2010 at 9:15 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Entombment All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. James Building Fund, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
