Karol W. Zacharko

Karol W. Zacharko was born July 28, 1914 in Poland to Pantelemon and (Marcela (nee Pilichowska) Zacharko. He passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010.

He is survived by his children, George (Joanna) Zacharko and Frank (Gina) Zacharko; his grandchildren, Jason (Lindsay) Zacharko, Jennifer (Adam) Stander, Jordan Zacharko, Chaley Pomrenke, and Justin Zacharko; his great-grandchildren Luke and Jillian; brother Jan and Sister Antonina.

Karol is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Regina (nee Dunowska) Zacharko; brothers Ludwik and Wiktor; sister Maria and by his parents.

Visitation is from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 Anderson (Anderson & Williams), Palatine for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s Assn. of Greater Chicago, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631
