Eileen M. Lonze
Of Prospect Heights, formerly of Park Ridge

Eileen M. Lonze was born on October 21, 1919 in Chicago to Thomas and Josephine (nee Holohan) McGrath. She passed away on December 11, 2010 in her home at Emeritus, Prospect Heights.

Eileen grew up in Chicago, where she graduated from St. Patrick High School for Girls in 1938. She married Ervin Lonze on February 15, 1941, and they lived in Chicago until 1957, with their five children. Eileen was active in St. Thecla Parish. She also enjoyed many summers with the family in Lake Delavan, Wisconsin. In 1957, the family moved to Park Ridge, where Eileen was an avid bridge player. She was also active in bowling leagues, and enjoyed playing golf at the Park Ridge Country Club. Erv and Eileen moved to Prospect Heights in 1986.

Eileen’s survivors include her children, Joan (Tom) Loeb of Arlington Heights, Pat (Vic) Heidlage of Vista, CA, Bob (Patti) Lonze of Arlington Heights, Judy (Ed) Hopper of Arlington Heights and Sue (Bert) Schuster of Carmel, IN; her grandchildren, Kevin (Jolie) Loeb, Eric Heidlage, Joseph (Karah) Heidlage, Julie (Duane) Faber, Bonnie Lonze, Carrie Lonze, Michael (Heather) Lonze, Katie Lonze, Jenny Schuster, and Matt Schuster; 4 step grandchildren, Ed Hopper, Mark Hopper, Steve Hopper and Mary (Jim) Bloniarz; great grandchildren, Isy Loeb, A.J., Alex, and Ethan Faber, Aidan and Keira Lonze; 7 step great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Winifred McGrath of Arlington Heights.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Lonze and her brother, Thomas McGrath.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 28th at 10 AM at St. Alphonsus Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights, with visitation beginning at 9 AM.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research would be appreciated.
