Margaret S. Watson
Of Arlington Heights
Margaret S. Watson was born November 30, 1943 in Cortland, New York to
H. Sanford and Kathryn (nee Ball) Smiley. She died on Tuesday, December
22, 2009 in Arlington Heights.
She was an elementary teacher at Greenbrier Elementary School and North
School until her retirement in 1976. She was deeply involved with First
Presbyterian Church in various church groups and was a member of the
P.E.O. chapter HN in Arlington Heights. She was an avid quilter, a great
cook, wife, mother, grandmother and wonderful friend to many.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 37 years, Richard D. Watson, whom
she married in Barrington on July 29, 1972; her mother, Kathryn; her
daughter, Heather (Chad) Miller of Grayslake; her grandchildren Ethan
and Lauren; and her sisters, Sussie (Wallace) Barron of Georgia, and
Dottie (Mike) Malone of York, Pennsylvania.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Memorial visitation is from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial service at
11:00 AM, Monday, December 28 at the First Presbyterian Church of
Arlington Heights, 302 N. Dunton Ave., Arlington Heights. Interment is
private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the P.E.O.
