Suzanne D. Lueder
Of Palatine

Suzanne Dell Lueder of Palatine was born March 10, 1941 in Ishpeming, Michigan, and passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Suzanne began her career in 1971 as a sales consultant for Relcon Apartment Finders, earning her Real Estate and Broker licenses. She was very passionate about her job and retired in 2007 after 36 years of dedicated service.

She was the loving mother of Robert (Lori) Lueder; Laura (Thomas) Santowski; Katherine (William) Vasey; Jeanne (Fred) Hanson; and was cherished grandmother “Grandma Sue” to Stephanie and Brianna Santowski, Andrew Lueder, Megan and Zachary Vasey; Taylor and Haley Hanson. She is also survived by her longtime companion Grant Garcia; her sister Kay Coombs; and her nieces, Jennifer (Brad) Bachmann and Amy (Carmen) Arnieri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlon and Helen (nee Zorn) Westerlund; her uncle Robert Zorn; her grandparents George and Della Zorn and Lillian and Alfred Westerlund.

She enjoyed traveling, old movies and the theater but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her warm smile and generosity. Suzanne was an amazing person and will be missed dearly. A private celebration of Suzanne’s life was held on at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd on December 23, 2009.
