M. Jerome Winters
Of Arlington Heights

M. Jerome Winters was born October 12, 1919 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Frances Wisniewski. He died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at his home.

Mr. Winters was a retired furniture store manager. He served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. Jerome was a member and lector at St. James Church for many years and played in the Men’s Golf league.

Jerry will be remembered by his children as the kindest man they have ever known who was always helping others. He was known to say “my favorite people call me Dad.”

Jerry is survived by his children; Jerry Jr., Mary “Ronnie,” Louise (Tom) Finnessy, Greg (Judy), Donna Koeppen, Mark (Barb), Ted (Mickie), Beth Buelow, Chris (Pam), Marcy (Jerry) Hanlon, Celeste (Ray) Schenk, Bede (Brenda), and George; 28 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Jeanne H.; his daughter, Laurelle, his parents and his siblings.

Visitation from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, December 18, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Committal service at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Special Olympics Illinois, 3000 Central Rd., Rolling Meadows, IL 60008 or to a Children’s Charity of the Donor’s choice.
