LaVerne M. Buechner
Of Arlington Heights

LaVerne M. Buechner was born April 7, 1919 in Chicago to Charles and Margaret (nee Barth) Hunt. She died Monday, December 7, 2009, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights after residing at Church Creek, Sunrise Senior Living Community.

Mrs. Buechner was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 981 in Arlington Heights. She contributed to the war effort durring World War II and later worked at Crawford's Department Store after her children had grown.

LaVerne is survived by her children, Roberta L. Blomquist (Ernest), Michael C. Buechner (Janet), and Robert C. Buechner, Jr. (Lynette); her grandchildren, Britt Roehm, Olivia Buechner, Carrie Blomquist and Tracy Blomquist; and her great-grandson Carson Roehm.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Buechner on September 15, 2009, and her parents.

Visitation from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the charity of donor’s choice.
