David W. Heinemann
Of Arlington Heights

David W. Heinemann was born on April 1, 1925 in Wheeling Township to William and Bertha (nee Russell) Heinemann. He died Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Heinemann was employed for 20 years by the Village of Arlington Heights, until his retirement in 1988. He served with the United States Navy during WWII and was a long- time member and past commander of the Arlington Heights VFW Post # 981.

David is survived by his step-sons Gary (Connee Johnson) Wolod of San Diego and William Wolod of New York City; and his sisters Alice (Guy) Eisenhuth, and Louise (Gordon) Prager; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou; parents and his sister Ruth and his brothers Walter, Wilbert (Anna) and Robert.

Visitation from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd.,(four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 11:00 AM, Monday, December 7, 2009 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
