Joseph G. Wieser Sr., was born January 12, 1933 in Chicago to Clarence Charles and Angela (nee Gross) Wieser. He died December 28, 2008 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

Joe retired as the Deputy Chief of the Buffalo Grove Fire Department with over 29 years of service.

Joseph is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Dalacker) Wieser, whom he married September 25, 1954 in Chicago; his children Cheryl Wieser, Joseph Jr., (Lana) Wieser and Russell (Christine) Wieser; his grandchildren Jason, Lindsey, Beth, Joe, Ashley, John and Matt; his siblings Dorothy (late Al) Krueger, Fran (late Larry) Tushner, Clarence (late Rosmarie and late Marlene) Wieser, Ray (Maureen) Wieser and Mary (Barry) Bartos.

Joe is preceded in death by his sister Angie (Bud) Bjorkquist and by his parents.

Visitation from 3 until 9 PM, Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Mary Catholic Church 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10 AM. Interment Private.
