Vito Dentamaro was born on January 14, 1925 in Bari, Italy to Antonio and Angela (nee Bratta) Dentamaro. He passed away on December 24, 2008 in Arlington Heights.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Virginia, nee Passanante; his children, Angela (Ron) Purgatorio, Anthony (Cathy) Dentamaro and Jacqueline (David) Beck; and his grandchildren, Danielle, Breanna, Marissa, Michelle, Robert, Christina, Michael and Christopher.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
