Theresa Mikielwicz Shannon
Of Arlington Heights

Theresa Mikielwicz Shannon was born in Milwaukee on August 4, 1916 and passed on to new life in Christ on December 16, 2008. She was a long time resident of Arlington Heights and faithful parishioner of St. James.

Theresa is survived by her daughter and son—in law Kathleen arid James Wohlgehagen of Dallas, daughter Nancy Shannon of Seattle, son and daughter-in — law Glenn and Peg Shannon of Lake in the Hills, and daughter and son-in—law Patricia Shannon and Bennie Campbell of New Orleans. Theresa was a grandmother to 12 and a great grandmother to 11. She will be fondly remembered and cherished for her generosity and strong will.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents Adam and Anna. her brothers Ray and Eddie and her beloved cousin Ann Wurl. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Leslie Robert Shannon and her sons, Mark and James.

Special thanks and blessings to Kathy and Jim Wohlgehagen, Glenn and Peg Shannon and Autumn Journeys Hospice for the devoted and loving care they provided Mom with in the last years of her life.

Visitation from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
