Wilbert A. “Wil” Schwantz
Lifelong resident of Arlington Heights

Wilbert Schwantz was born on April 29, 1923 in Arlington Heights to Charles and Maria (nee Luerssen) Schwantz. He passed away on December 28, 2007 at his home in Arlington Heights.

Wil was a real estate broker in Arlington Heights for over 40 years having worked for the offices of Krause and Kehe, Annen and Busse and RE Max Suburban. Wil had a passionfor Arlington Heights and was active in community development as a lifelong resident He enjoyed fishing and spending time at his lake house on Lake Mary in Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy L. (nee) Hogan, his sons, Bob (Carol) Schwantz of Palatine, Jim (Barb) Schwantz of North Barrington and Denny (Kathy) Schwantz of Palatine, his grandchildren, Kathleen, Michael, Jennifer and Jonathan, his sisters Esther Bradley and Bernice Saunders, his sister in laws, Myrtle Schwantz and Joan Dobbin and his brother in law, Jack Hogan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Hap Schwantz.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, December 20, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 10:45 AM Monday, December 31, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
