Warren Gerald Sunde
Of Prospect Heights
Warren Gerald Sunde was born
February 15, 1936 in
Chicago, to Gerald and
Sophie (nee Byanski) Sunde.
He died Friday, December 7,
2007 at Lutheran General
Hospital in Park Ridge.
Mr. Sunde was a civil
engineer for the
Metropolitan Sanitary
District for over 30 years
before retiring in 1993. He
was a long time and active
member of Grace Lutheran
Church in Mt. Prospect,
served in the US Army, was
founder of CASE and served
as an Alderman for the City
of Prospect Heights for
eight years. Warren enjoyed
fishing, golfing and
swimming. He participated in
the State Finals while
attending Lane Tech High
School. He was a Golden
Gloves Boxer and played
Semi-Pro Football.
His survivors include his
wife of 44 years, Bonnie nee
Luster, whom he married
September 28, 1963; his
daughters Kris Sophie (Tom)
Weathered of Deer Park and
Michele Noel Carpizo of
Barrington; his
grandchildren Tyler Warren
and Summer Bonet Weathered
and Cameron Marie and
Brendan Brian Carpizo; his
brother Raymond (Artie)
Sunde and many nieces,
nephews, sisters-in-law and
brothers-in-law.
Visitation from 3:00 until
9:00 PM, Wednesday, December
13, 2007 at the Glueckert
Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N.
Arlington Heights Road, (4
blocks south of Palatine
Road) Arlington Heights, and
Thursday, December 14, 2007
from 10:00 AM until the time
of Funeral Service at 11:00
AM at Grace Evangelical
Lutheran Church, 1624 E.
Euclid Ave., Mt. Prospect.
Interment private.
