Joseph D’Amato
Of Arlington Heights

Joseph D’ Amato was born February 2, 1919 in Bagheria, Sicily, to Joseph and Josephine D’ Amato. He died December 7, 2007 at Gulfside Regional Hospice in Holiday, Florida.

Food was his passion. He enjoyed working in his fruit garden and preparing his homemade pizza and pasta sauces for his family and friends.

Joseph is survived by his wife Elisabetta; daughters Josetta M. (Paul) Marcy of Prospect Heights, Joanne M. Damato of Arlington Heights and his son Joseph F. (Julianne) Damato of Barrington; his six grandchildren Michael, Anthony, Joseph, Michael, Bianca and Sabrina.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Grace and his parents.

Visitation Tuesday, from 3 until 9 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Wednesday at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9 AM until time of funeral mass at 10 AM. Entombment at All Saints Mausoleum, Des Plaines, Ill.
