Lorraine M. Saflarski

Lorraine M. Saflarski was born on August 1, 1925 in Chicago to George and Mae (nee Forpanek) Baske. She passed away on December 6, 2007 in Buffalo Grove.

Mrs. Saflarski was a quality control supervisor for Searle Pharmaceutical in Mt. Prospect for 16 ½ years before retiring in 1990. She served as a praise minister at St. Edna Catholic Church and also volunteered at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly in Palatine and Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Lorraine is survived by her children James (Linda) Saflarski of Carpentersville, Janet (Conrad) Chapek of Payson, AZ, Robert (Laurel) Saflarski of Arlington Heights and Thomas (Terri) Saflarski of Buffalo Grove; and her six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Monday, December 10, 2007 at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 AM until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:00AM. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60067 or to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager, Barrington, IL 6001.
