Kenneth D. May

Kenneth D. May was born on August 27, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas to Chester M. and Sarah (nee Strahm) May. He passed away on December 7, 2007 at his home.

Kenneth was a veteran of WWII having served in the Army Air Corps. He was a Buffalo Grove Police volunteer. During his accomplished career as an engineer, Kenneth worked with NASA on the Apollo manned space program.

He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Shirley Draut-May whom he married on August 23, 2003, his children, Debra Sue Mueller of Carol Stream and David Wayne May of Phoenix, AZ, his grandchildren, Melissa Ann Mueller and Steve (Jessica) Pawlack, his brother Harley (Judith) May and his nephews, Thomas (Katherine) May and Daniel (Jami) May.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Joan.

Visitation Monday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the Christian Church of Arlington Heights, 333 W. Thomas, Arlington Heights. Interment Memory Gardens.
