William G. Grashorn
Of Arlington Heights

William G. Grashorn was born on August 30, 1926 in Paw Paw, MI to Lester and Mary (nee Fuchs) Grashorn. He passed away on December 4, 2007 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Grashorn was a WWII veteran having served in the Army Air Force. He is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Business. He retired after a long career in business management. William was active in Scouting and enjoyed square dancing. He was also an avid reader, sailor and mandolin player.

William is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gail (nee Brookman) whom he married on June 18, 1949, his children, Susan (Arthur Atkinson) Gail of Fairfield, IA, Ann (Michael) Yorke of Crystal Lake, David (Renea) Grashorn of Belvidere and James (Maureen) Grashorn of West Dundee, his grandchildren, Lucas, Nathan, Shannon, Samantha, Bill, Claire, Maddison, Tanner, Jillian and Connley and his brother, George (Pat) Apelt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his Brother Lester Grashorn and his sister, Louise Lorenz.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 10:00 AM until the time of memorial service at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 E. Euclid, Arlington Heights. Interment private.
