Harry M. “Smoky” Schaerf
Of Streamwood

Harry M. “Smoky” Schaerf was was born on May 6, 1924 in Chicago to Max and Ida (nee Wehlte) Schaerf. He passed away November 30, 2007 in Streamwood.

Smoky served in the Marines during WWII. He was a truck driver for over 30 years.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandee (James) Wilk of Bartlett and Shawn (Robert) Formella of Harvard and his granddaughters, Chandra and Kyla Formella.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Arline C. (nee Olsen) Schaerf and his brother Heinz Schaerf.

Visitation 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. Funeral 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
