Thomas Bruhn Maver, Sr.
Of Arlington Heights

Thomas Bruhn Maver, Sr. was born on February 10, 1923 in Chicago to David Blair and Anna (nee Bruhn) Maver. He died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 in Long Grove.

Mr. Maver attended Morgan Park High School in Chicago and Dartmouth College In Hanover, NH (Class of 1945). He received an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Thomas served with the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a financial planner, CLU for the Equitable Life Insurance Company from 1959 – 1995. Prior to that he was employed by the Simmons Mattress Company and the Huber Glass Company as salesman. Thomas was a member of the Arlington Heights Rotary Club and the Million Dollar Roundtable. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, served on the Northwest Community Hospital Foundation Board and volunteered with the Arlington Heights Historical Society. He was a lover of music from the 20s, 30s and 40s.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Amelia Maver (nee Brown), whom he married on May 7, 1949 in Hanover, NH; his children, Marianna Maver of Holland, MI, Bonnie Jean Maver Reynolds of North Canton, OH, Thomas Bruhn Maver, Jr. of Arlington Heights and Kathryn Joan Maver of Chicago; his grandchildren, Andrea Jean and Timothy David Reynolds.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, David Maver and Eleanor Maver Ball.

Visitation 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, December 29, 2006, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (four blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights and Saturday, December 30, 2006, from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, 302 N. Dunton Ave., Arlington Heights. Interment Arlington Heights Wheeling Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the First Presbyterian Church, address above.
