Francis Anthony “Frank” Vlazny
Of Mt. Prospect

Francis A. “Frank” Vlazny was born December 13, 1927 in Chicago to Anthony and May (nee Waddick) Vlazny. He died Saturday, December 23, 2006 at his home.

Mr. Vlazny was the Director of Tariffs at O.A.G. from 1961 until he retired in 1986. He was active in community affairs and enjoyed golfing, travel and reading.

Frank’s survivors include his wife of 49 years, Dorothy nee Thompson whom he married November 16, 1957; his children Stephen Vlazny of Mt. Prospect, Jeanne (Jeffrey) Schnelbach, of Bozeman, Montana, Kenneth (Mary Josephine) of York, Pennsylvania and Rita (Dale) Falk of Arlington Heights; his grandchildren Justin, Eric, Samantha, Olivia, Sarah, John and Ella Kay; his sister Elizabeth (Jim) Shapkauski and his brother James Vlazny.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Catherine.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment private.
