John Paul Breister

John Paul Breister was born April 9, 1923 in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin to Paul Matthew and Isabella A. (nee Rieder) Breister. He died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Breister was a broadcast engineer for WGN Television for 39 years before retiring in 1987. He served in the US Army during WW II.

John’s survivors include his children Carol Breister of Indianapolis, Indiana, Patricia Stover of Wonder Lake, IL and William (Paris) Breister of Wonder Lake; his grandchildren Kenneth Nolting and Chaundel Sammarco; his brother Daniel (Ellie) Breister and his niece Ivy Pena.

He is preceded in death by his wife Verda, his parents, his sister and two brothers.

Visitation from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Monday, December 11, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
