Of Belvidere
Thomas Anthony Stephens, formerly of Elk Grove Village and Arlington Heights, was born December 3, 1944in Chicago to Nathan Ray and Marcella (nee Horvath) Stephens. He died Friday, December 23, 2005 at his home.
Before retiring in 1997, Mr. Stephens was the owner of Combined Motor Express. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Thomas' survivors include his daughters Kimberly Blum of Chicago and Tammy (Amer) Talic of Belvidere; his grandchildren Stephanie and Tony Blum; his mother Marcella; his sister Christine J. Stephens, his brother David R. (Qiuhua) Stephens; and his former wife Shirley Schriber and his faithful companions Princess and Shadow.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Funeral service 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2005at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Visitation Tuesday from 5:00 PM until time of service at 7:00 PM. Interment private.
