Dorothy L. "Dode" Dunnom was born August 29, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri to Burrell D. and Betty (nee Williams) Cook. She died December 20, 2005 at ManorCare Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Dunnom was a homemaker and then worked in the secretarial field before retiring in 1990. She was an avid reader and she loved to shop and spend time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Judith D. (Dale) Boelens; her grandchildren, David (Tamara) Boelens, Jeremy (Melissa) Boelens, Samantha Boelens, Courtney Dunnom and John Dunnom; her great grandchildren Christopher, Nicolina, Jason, Michael and Abigail Boelens; her niece Marcia Peco and her former daughter in law, Debra Dunnom
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Jobe; her son Robert "Skip" Dunnom; her grandson Matthew Boelens; and her siblings Burrell W. Cook and Mary Wheeler.
Visitation 2:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday, December 26, 2005 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Harvest Bible Chapel, 800 Rohlwing Rd., Rolling Meadows, lie in state in the chapel from 10:00
AM until time of service at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at Randhill Park Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
