Colin Macleod
Of Arlington Heights

Colin Macleod, over 51 years in the Arlington Heights and Rolling Meadows area, was born April 22, 1928 in Chicago to Alexander and Mary (nee Sim) Macleod. He died Thursday, December 8, 2005 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Macleod was a carpenter for over 50 years, formerly employed with Arlington Park and the North American Building in Chicago. He served in the Army, stationed in Germany, during the Korean War and was active in the Carpenters Union Local #839 for over 50 years.

His survivors include his wife of 51 years, Geraldine E. nee Humpa, whom he married August 28, 1954; his children Steve (Karen) Macleod of Schaumburg, Kevin Macleod of Houston, Texas, Colleen (Gerrold) Daniel of Katy, Texas, and Tom (Lori) Macleod of Lakewood, Colorado; his grandchildren Joshua, Eric, Colin, Meg, Paul, Mary Beth, Hailey and Adam; and his sister Dorothy Jayne.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2005 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Memorial Mass 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 17, 2005 at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment private.
