Ellen M. Szczerski
26-year resident of Arlington Heights

Ellen M. Szczerski was born February 16, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to Chester and Genevieve nee Banka Simkowski, she passed away Thursday December 2, 2004 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center.

Mrs. Szczerski was a dedicated homemaker that enjoyed planting and caring for her garden as well as a variety of arts and crafts around the home.

Ellen Szczerski is survived by her husband John Szczerski, whom she married September17, 1983, her children Joel and Lauren both of Arlington Heights; brothers Roy (Laura) and James (Chesa) Simkowski; nieces Kristen (Chris) McVeen and Melissa Simkowski; and nephew Jeffrey Simkowski.

Visitation will be held, Sunday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Committal services will be Monday, 10:00 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to: The Szczerski Children's Education Fund, C/O Glueckert Funeral Home.
