Maurice J.  Iorio, of Henderson, NV, was born on February 8, 1939 in Chicago, to Sam and Marie (nee Ferrara) Iorio. He died Monday, November 25, 2013 at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village.

Mr. Iorio was Deputy Superintendent for Schiller Park, IL before retiring after 20 years of service. After relocating to Nevada, he was Director of Security of Luxor Hotel & Casino and Court Security Administrator for Clark County, among other ventures.  Maurice served in the Army during the early 1960's. 
 
He is survived by his spouse of 54 years Mary D. nee Branick; his sister, Pamela A. Kann; his nieces, Lisa (Gary) Byers and Patricia (Robert) Hasemann; his great nephews, Kevin, Christopher, Kyle and Brian Byers, and great nieces, Courtney, Rebecca and Samantha Hasemann.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Donald.
 
Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, November 29, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL and from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL. Burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
