Louise L. Kivland
Of Arlington Heights

Louise L. Kivland was born on April 20, 1922 to George and Agnes (nee DeGroot) Baumiller. She died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at her home.

Before retiring, Mrs. Kivland worked as a Registered Nurse for Northwest Community Hospital for 17 years. She was raised in Angel Guardian orphanage in Chicago, attended New Trier High School and later graduated from Oak Park School of Nursing.  She served as a Lieutenant in Navy during WWII.  Louise was a nature lover and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her children Donna M. (Bill) Malloy, Bonnie (Alexander Clemens) Kivlan, and Michael J. (Cynthia) Kivland; her 10 grandchildren Rhett Kivland, Tyler Kivland, Brea Kivland, Peter Malloy, Margaret Sexton, Benjamin Blanck, Liza Reed, Kelly Kivland, Chelsey Kivland and Michael P. Kivland; her 12 great grandchildren; and her sister, Lillian Louise Ludwig.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul J., her son, Patrick Paul Kivland and her parents.
 
Visitation  from 12:00 pm until time of funeral service at 3:30 pm, Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
