Gregory Elrond Mate

Gregory Elrond Mate was born on September 30, 1968 in Des Plaines to Arthur and Diane (nee Altergott) Mate. He passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 in Des Plaines.

Greg was Clash, a mobile D.J.  He was an avid reader and was studying to be a teacher.  Greg loved life, his family, cooking, dogs and all things Scottish.

Gregory is survived by his wife of nine years, Amy (nee Sullivan); his parents; his sister, Jolene A. Horn; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
 
Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 1:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 3:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.   

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Cancer Federation, P.O. Box 1298, Banning, CA  92220 or to Almost Home Foundation, P.O. Box 308, Elk Grove Village, IL  60009.
