George E. Jahn
Of Arlington Heights; formerly of Naperville

George E. Jahn was born on July 5, 1917 in Chicago to Paul and Martha (nee Greafe) Jahn. He died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Jahn worked as a glassblower for Advanced Instrument Co., Illinois Institute of Technology and most recently for Amoco Oil Co., from 1970 to 1987. George was a lifetime member of Moose. He was also a member of the Glassblowers Society, Naperville Knife & Fork Club, and Amvets.

George is survived by his spouse of 63 years, Caroline (nee Walters) Jahn; his children, Allen (Maureen) Jahn and Pamela (Artine) Derian; his grandchildren, Timothy (Beth) Jahn, Katherine Jahn, and Michael Jahn; his great-grandson, Noah Jahn; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Walter Paul Jahn.

Memorial visitation from 2PM until 5 PM with a memorial service at 4 PM Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Hts Rd., Arlington Heights, IL.
