Noreen Marie Armstrong
Of Arlington Heights

Noreen Marie Armstrong, loving wife of Jeffrey S. Armstrong, was born on October 31, 1970 in Chicago to Edward S. and Kathleen A. (nee Deniston) Gleason. Surrounded by family, she was born into eternal life Monday, November 5, 2012 after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer.

Noreen graduated from Hersey High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a master’s degree from St. Xavier University. Mrs. Armstrong was an elementary school teacher for 10 years in Arlington Heights. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, precious daughter, special aunt, cousin, friend to many, and an inspiration to all.

Noreen is survived by her devoted spouse, Jeff, of 16 years; her wonderful son, Benjamin T. Armstrong; her parents; her grandmother, Virginia DiFebo; her siblings, Edward (Julie) Gleason, and Julie (David) Schauble; her nieces and nephews, Carly, Joseph, Zachary, Luke, Kate, Thomas, Cate, Matthew, Joseph, Rachel, Grace, Caroline, and Lily; her father-in-law, Thomas Armstrong, and mother-in-law, Joan Armstrong.

Visitation will be from 2 pm until 9 pm, Friday, November 9, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Hts. Rd., Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said at 9:45 am Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the funeral home proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Hts. Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:30 am. Final resting place at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
