Marian Knupp
Of Arlington Heights
Marian Knupp was born October 23, 1910 in Chicago to William and Matilda
(nee Kadlec) Gorski. She passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at
Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Knupp was a comptometer operator for Western Electric in Cicero
until her retirement in 1967. She was involved with PTA when her
children were in school. She loved to cook and was known for her
“Holland Horns” Pastry, and she was an avid Bridge player. Marian loved
to “celebrate” with her family monthly, and if she could, weekly. She
was very close to her sisters, Lucille and Emily, and all three sisters
lived to be 100 years old. Marian loved her family and was loved by all.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Judith) Knupp of Kildeer; her
grandchildren, Darin (Elke) Knupp, Loreen (Jerry) Muzik, Stephanie
(Wyeth) Ridgway, and Stephan Clark; her great-grandchildren, Andre Knupp,
and Lauren and Avery Ridgway; and her nephew, Bill Bock.
Marian is preceded in death by her husband, Emil Knupp; her daughter,
Ruth (Ken) Clark; her sisters, Lucille Brinker, and Emily Bock; and her
parents.
Visitation from 3:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 PM,
Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N.
Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington
Heights. Entombment is at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the First
Congregational Church of Berwyn, 6500 W. 34th St., Berwyn, IL 60402.
