Jules “Jerry” V. DelPorte
Of Lake Barrington

Jules “Jerry” V. DelPorte was born on February 20, 1940 to Jules Joseph and Augustine (nee Delestrez) DelPorte in Chicago. He passed away on November 14, 2010 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

Jerry served in the Twenty-Nine Palms Marine Corp, Air Ground Combat division. He was an usher at St. Edna for many years as well as President of the Arlington Heights Youth Athletic Association.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ellen, nee Giacomo, his children, Jeffrey (Melissa) DelPorte of Mt. Prospect, Jill (Jay) Schweiger of Lake Zurich and Beth DelPorte of Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren, Siena DelPorte, Wesley Schweiger and Evelyn Schweiger; his sisters, Delores (Pat) Boaz, Patricia (Jim) Krikie and Sharon (Pat) Ryan.

Visitation Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Thursday at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, 208 S. LaSalle Street, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604-1242.
