Anna Gursky
Of Arlington Heights
Anna Gursky, formerly of Chicago, was born July 27, 1922 in Ukraine to
Michael and Paraschka Niedzwiecki. She passed away on Thursday, November
11, 2010 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Gursky was a Truant Officer for St. Mark’s Catholic School, and
Columbus Grade School in Chicago. She was an avid gardener, and loved
sending clothing and money back to family and friends in Poland and the
Ukraine. She loved her family and was loved by all.
She is survived by her husband, Petro Gursky, whom she married on June
25, 1947 in Ludwigsburg, Germany; her children, Peter (Barbara) Gursky
of Norridge, Bohdan “Bo” (Regina) Gursky of Arlington Heights, and Marge
(Joe) Rangel of Arlington Heights; her granddaughters, Julie and
Catherine; her siblings, Stanley (Millie) Niedzwiecki, and Melania
Wawryszczuk.
Anna is preceded in death by her siblings, Michael, Mary, Joseph, Maria
and her parents.
Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks
south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Monday,
November 15, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James
Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at
10:00 AM. Burial is at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
