Nadine J. Gamboa
Of Arlington Heights 23 years

Nadine J. Gamboa, formerly of Mt. Prospect and Scottsdale, Arizona, was born December 3, 1937 in Chicago to Elmer N. and Mildred C. (nee Gaertner) Guertin. She died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 in Arlington Heights.

She worked as a waitress for 23 years at the Little America Restaurant in Mt. Prospect. She was featured in the Daily Herald for award winning recipes in the food section where both Nadine and her sister, Janeen, won “Cook of the Year” in the same year. Nadine had superior culinary skills and was an excellent cook. She was loved by family and friends and was a friend to all.

Nadine is survived by her husband of 12 years, Juan R., whom she married March 17, 1997; her children, DeAnne Cameron of Palatine and Robert (Holly) Cameron of Union, IL; grandchildren, Shane J. Cameron, Ashley R. Sternberg, Kelly A. Cameron, William A. Sternberg, Dakota J. Gasdiel-Goldberg, Cody R. Cameron, Googee L. Gasdiel, Xomox M., Zeus S. and Elijah S. Cameron; and her sisters, Janeen Paul and Adrienne Sobbe.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mildred Guertin; and her brother Ramon Guertin.

Visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 29, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment is private.
