Virginia K. Treutler

Virginia K. Treutler was born April 25, 1925 in Chicago to Joseph and Bernice (nee Tabor) Killian. She died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Before retiring Mrs. Treutler worked in finance for a number of different banks and builders. She volunteered for many years for Northwest Community Hospital, knitting baby hats.

Virginia’s survivors include her husband Warren; her children Pamela (Peter) Matteson, Donald Treutler and Timothy (Deborah) Treutler; her grandchildren Benjamin (Anna), Bradley, Allison, Amanda, Elizabeth and Emily; and her sister Irene Thor.

Virginia is preceded in death by her son Thomas; her parents and her brothers Joe, Hank and Danny Killian.

Visitation from 2:00 until 8:00 PM, Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, and Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 1:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 3:00 PM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Devil’s Lake State Park Nature Center, South 5975 Park Rd., Baraboo, WI 53913.
