Anthony S. DiGiovanni was born January 1, 1925 in Chicago to Jasper and Vitina (nee Sampanetti) DiGiovanni. He died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village.

He is survived by his children, Thomas (Diane) DiGiovanni, Susan (James) Nugent, Debra (David) Vana, and Tina (Richard) Kneisel; grandchildren, Carrie, Joe, Christopher, Laurel, David, and John; many nieces and nephews; and his good friend, Bernard Hendrickx

Anthony is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Loretta (nee Eckstein) whom he married September 11, 1948 in Chicago; his daughters, Tracy and Kathe DiGiovanni; his siblings Rosemary, and Jay DiGiovanni; and his parents.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, November 13, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Saturday, November 14, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial is at St.Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
