Robert John Sweeney, a lifelong resident of Wheeling and Buffalo Grove, was born August 4, 1956 in Chicago to Robert B. Sweeney and Mary Jane Tuzzo. He died Monday, November 17, 2008 at VA Health Care System, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Sweeney was a salesman for Strategic Business Partners.
His survivors include his daughter Nichole Sweeney and his sons Eric and Kyle Sweeney all of Mt. Prospect; his father Robert (Maria) Sweeney of Garden Ridge, Tex., his mother Mary Jane (Manuel) Ajuria of Delavan, Wisc.; his siblings Ronald Sweeney, Kerri (Jason) Janowick, Shaun Sweeney and Carolena “Sarah” Sweeney; his niece Becca Schuetz; and his granddaughter Jasmine Miller.
Visitation from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 10:30 AM, Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Committal 12:30 PM, Monday at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to: Gift of Hope, Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network, Attn: Linda Lawson, 660 N. Industrial Drive Elmhurst, IL 60126.
