John M. Brady was born on March 27, 1924 in Chicago to Philip and Bridget (nee McCann) Brady. He passed away on November 17, 2008 in Arlington Heights.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Julia M. (nee Sullivan); his children, John (Gladys) Brady of Algonquin, Janice (John) Colman of Wenonah, NJ, Jeanne (Stephen) McDermott of Arlington Heights and Jerome (Monica) Brady of Warner Robins, GA; his grandchildren, John, Ray, Brian, Shannon, James, Stephen, Jennifer, Michael, Ryan, Peter, Brendan, Philip, Kimberly and Erin; his great-grandchildren, Greta, Christopher, Alexandra, Thomas, Abigail and Anna; his sisters, Eileen (the late Charles) Smith and Ann Marie (the late Edward) Hartnett; his sister-in-law, Anna Mae (Terry) Riley; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Philip, Paul and James.
Visitation Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM Friday at the funeral home to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment Queen of Heaven.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica, 3121 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60612.
