Richard W. Wisniewski was born December 30, 1943 to Walter and Jeanette (nee Dobosz) Wisniewski. He died November 16, 2008 at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood.
On May 5, 1994 Richard was given the ultimate gift of life, he received a heart transplant that gave him fourteen years in which he saw his family go through many memorable occasions. His optimism, courage and joyful outlook on life were an inspiration to all that knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Richard is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elaine (nee Fabisz) Wisniewski, his children Jennifer (Jeff Sr.) Lichwa and Walter Wisniewski; his grandchildren Joshua, Julianne and Jeffrey, Jr.; his siblings Geraldine Fugelberg, Rita (Anthony) Tyma and Paul (Gloria) Wisniewski and by many nieces and nephews.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents.
As a final tribute to Richard, the family requests that you consider becoming an organ donor so that others may benefit as he did.
A memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 22, 2008 at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to:. St. James Church building Fund.
