Catherine “Kay” Metallo was born March 22, 1925 in Maxwell, New Mexico to Anthony and Mary (nee Ferkovich) Mance. She died November 12, 2008 at Harbor House in Wheeling.
Kay is survived by her Daughters Sharon M. (Terry) Pawula of Buffalo Grove and Laura K. (Marc) Bidon of New York, NY; her grandchildren Rick, Elisabeth, Kenny and James Pawula and Timothy Bidon
She is preceded in death by her husband John M. Metallo, whom she married April 15, 1950 in Chicago; her parents and by her siblings Rose Miller, Tony Mance, Tillie Schwartz, Jenny Gleaves, Dave Mance, Walter Mance, Terry Donovan and Martha Sloma.
Visitation from 4 until 9 PM, Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Friday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Mary Catholic Church 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10 AM. Burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to: Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Chicago, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr. Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631.
