Lorraine M. Sutherland, recently of Lakemoor, was born November 3, 1926 in Chicago to Donald and Catherine (nee Damato) Camis. She died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry.
At the time of her retirement, Mrs. Sutherland was a receptionist for Honeywell where she had been employed over 10 years. She was a long-time and active member of St. Thomas of Villanova Parish and she enjoyed cross-stitching and her family.
Lorraine’s survivors include her husband of 58 years Alvin Clark Sutherland whom she married May 20, 1950; her children Timothy Sutherland, Cathy (Tom) Lakowske; Donald (Christine) Sutherland, Gerald (Shelley) Sutherland and Ann (Giancarlo) Natalino; her grandchildren Nicholas (Jamie), Ryan, Jessica, Darren and Danielle Sutherland, her great granddaughter Kya Lorraine Kirksy; and her sisters Donna Mae Gaffron and Geraldine Busby.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Geannette Feldman.
Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 Anderson (Anderson & Williams), Palatine for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
