Irene L. Jones, former 80 year resident of Rock Falls, Illinois was born march 25, 1926 in Walnut, Illinois to Homer and Minerva (nee Fordham) Henson. She died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at her daughter’s home.

Mrs. Jones was the owner of Brass & Silks Gift Shop in Sterling from 1984 – 1992 and later was the Ladies and Children’s clothing manager of Belscots Department Store in Rock Falls.

Her survivors include her children Diane (Bill) Glick of Elkhart, Indiana, Debra (Dave) Spink of Elgin, Ill and Mickey (Dianna) Jones of Lake Zurich, Ill.; her 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; her sisters Gloria (Harry) Johnson and Sandy (Dick) Hall, and brothers Jack (Betty) Henson, Buck (Betty) Henson and Ron (Evelyn) Henson.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband Lee I. Jones, her parents and her siblings Lawrence (Kathleen) Henson, Bobby (Pauline) Henson and Sylvia (Ron) Childs.

Visitation from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Harvest Time Bible Church, 1802 Dixon Ave., Rock Falls. Funeral service 10:00 Am Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the church. Interment Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling.
